Police were called at approx. 22:10hrs Sunday, 21 March by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to reports of a male on the ground, possibly assaulted in Oakwood Drive, SE19. Officers, LAS and Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) all attended and found a male, believed aged in his early twenties, suffering what is believed to be a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries to establish the identity of the deceased and inform any next of kin are underway. Detectives from Trident have been informed and enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing. There have been no arrests at this time.
