Ravensbury Ward
The Ward’s current priorities for the forth coming months as agreed by the local ward panel at our last meeting.
• Ward Priority - Anti Social Behaviour in general
• Anti Social Behaviour by motorists
On the 16th October the team stopped a motorist and after checks were conducted the driver was found not to have a driving licence. The vehicle was seized and the driver issued with a fixed penalty notice.
• School Truancy
On Monday the 19th October, as part of a Pan London operation, the Ravensbury team patrolled the ward in order to tackle truants from Bishopsford School. The operation was undertaken in conjunction with the Education Welfare Officer. Those found truanting were returned to school and recorded by the EWO. The operation proved to be extremely successful and similar operations are planned for future dates.
.
Team Events
On Thursday the 22nd October, the team attended a youth centre called Sutton & District project and arranged for the Army Careers Officer to attend and give an informal talk about a career in the services along with all the training provided.
The presentation was attended by fifty students and gave all them the opportunity to ask various questions and make an informed decision as to whether the services might be an option for them. PCSO Dickson has a close relationship with the youth centre and already planning future presentations from outside agencies.
