Since the last update we have continued to actively patrol the Ward.
Patrols have also been conducted in Ravensbury Park and Morden Hall Park. We have conducted numerous stop and searches which have resulted in four individuals being found in possession of Cannabis, all receiving a Cannabis Warning as well as the drugs being seized. A further male was stopped and searched and found to be in possession of lighter fuel which was again seized. Three of those found in possession of Cannabis were stopped in Morden Hall Park and another on London Road.
Ravensbury Ward have actively patrolled the Ward and dealt with any vulnerable vehicles. This relates to any vehicle which may have items of value left on display and therefore make them prime targets for theft opportunists. Since June, we have either visited or written to forty registered keepers notifying them of any apparent issues under the Vulnerable Vehicle Scheme. The scheme is proving to be a great success and an excellent way of reducing potential targets of crime.
The current Ward priorities our
• Anti social behaviour by motorist
• Anti social behaviour in general including cycling on the pavement
• School truancy
Our next Ward Drop-In Surgery is scheduled for Saturday 29th August 2009 between 13:00-15:00 hrs at Morden Hall Car Park.
