Lower Morden Communitysafe June 2010 CRIME ALERT Over the last couple of days there has been an increase in lead and copper being stolen from properties across the ward. Lead has been stolen from porch roofs and bay windows and some copper from the church roof. I have spoken to the Crime Prevention Officer for the Borough and he has made the following suggestions. Properties can be protected by the use of anti climb paint which can be purchased from a decent hardware store. Selectamark DNA grease and it is designed to protect outdoor material such as lead roofing and copper piping. 100ml according to the company literature will mark approximately 25 linear metres using a 3cm wide paintbrush. The team would ask that if anyone does see people acting suspiciously then police can be contacted on 999 whilst the person is present.
