Lower Morden Newsletter 12th June 2010 The next Neighbourhood Watch Meeting is being held on Wednesday 16th June 2010 at 19:30 hrs in Morden Baptist Chuch, Lower Morden Lane, Morden. There will be a talk from the Crime Prevention Officer Greg Hunt. The next Ward Panel meeting will be held on Thursday 17th June 2010. At the meeting the SNT team will be given some more priorities to work on. Some good work by the team to report this month. The team have recently assited St Helier SNT with patrolling of the Fillipino festival in Morden Park on the weekend of 5th and 6th June. A good spirited family event attracting large crowds on both days. On 28th May 2010, PC Stewart and the Met Status Dog team seized and destroyed an illegal pitbull dog from an address in Lynmouth Avenue, Morden. These came from reports from PCSO Peck and PCSO Sanders of a dog they believed was being treated badly. The RCSPA attended the address to find a pitbull illegal under the Dangerous Dogs Act at the location. The team continues to work with the local community and visitors to Lower Morden Ward to ensure public safety and Lower Morden continues to be one of the safest wards in London.
