Crime Alert
There again have been a number of garage burglaries with access via the alleyways. The individuals responsible are targeting older garage doors. This is because they are able to bend the door back and gain access. Anyone with concerns re crime prevention can contact the team on any of the means listed below.
As part of the Justice Seen, Justice Done campaign two males where arrested by the team for robbery and criminal damage to motor vehicle. On Thursday 25th February, officers from the team where called to an incident in Dudley Drive, Morden. Where a local businessman had been attacked by two clients. He was attacked and had his vehicle damaged. PC Stewart and PS Wiltshire obtained details of his attack. Meanwhile from information given by the victim, PCSO Peck spotted the attackers returning to the home address. PS Wiltshire and PC Stewart joined PCSO Peck and then attended the home address of the attackers concerned. They where apprehended and arrested for the offences. The arrested males are currently being investigated by the Case Progression Unit at Wimbledon Police Station for these offences.
The team continue to deal with any crime that occurs on Lower Morden Ward, efficiently and proactively. We all strive to ensure that individuals committing crime are brought to justice.
The team will be holding a Property Marking/ Motor Vehicle Crime Clinic on Saturday 13th March 2010 o/s the Co-op, Grand Drive, Morden. This will run between 12pm - 3pm.
