UPDATES
Neighbourhood Watch
Some of you might be aware that we have just launch two new Neighbourhood watches in the Cannon Hill ward area. These were in Haynt Walk and Mawson Close and the launch was on the evening of the 28th July.
We are in the process of setting up a new scheme in Monkleigh Road. The launch would be at the end of this month. If you would like to have the Neighbourhood Watch scheme in your area, please give us a call and let us know on 0208 721 2455
New PCSO
We would like to introduce you all to our new PCSO to the ward, PCSO 7289VW Leader Balinda. He will be working with us for the foreseeable future until a space opens up somewhere else on the borough, as we have the full quota of PCSO’s on our ward.
New Office
As of Thursday 11th September 2009 we have started to move into a new office site situated between Icelands and Lidl in Morden centre. At the present there is no station office, so for the time being you will have to attend the old office to report anything. We will let you know when this changes.
Residential Burglary and Theft from motor vehicle
In August we are pleased to announce that the crime figures for Residential burglary and theft from motor vehicles were the lowest in borough. We only had one report crime for each in the whole borough for the whole month of August. Both of these are our ward priorities set by the Ward Panel which is good news for all.
However we would like to urge residents to keep vehicles locked and to take all valuables out especially during the night. Also to keep all doors and windows locked, and secure any broken and damaged fences. Don’t give criminals the opportunity! If you would like any crime prevention advice or tips on how to make your property less accessible for burglars please feel free to call us on 0208 721 2455
