Dear residents, CRIME FIGURES We've had two residential burglaries (3 commercial burglaries) since the 1st May. Other figures for this period are: Robberies: 0 Assault: 6 (including 3 GBH's) Domestic incidents where no offences alleged or suspected: 2 Public Order Offences: 1 Racially aggravated Public Order Offences: 0 Theft of motorvehicles: 2 Theft from motorvehicle: 2 Theft of pedal cycle: 0 Shoplifting: 3 Other theft: 2 Possession of Cannabis: 2 Possession of Coccaine: 1 Arson: 0 Criminal Damage: 3 Sexual Offence: 1 (historic incident from 2000 which is being investigated) The initial concern would be towards assaults, which have increased significantly. One of the GBH offences, persons were arrested, and another the victim did not want to help Police. Your team are putting in high visibility and plain clothes patrols in the area to deter this kind of offence. Littering and anti social behaviour are still being addressed. Anti social behaviour is very low level. However, we have recently seen a rise in incidents of flytipping. One of the team did stop a male who was flytipping six or so bin bags on the street, and those details have been passed to the local Council for prosecution. DRIVE OUT VEHICLE CRIME Remember this months free gift is a warning triangle shaped air freshener (apple smell I think) with 'STOP, ALL VALUABLES HAVE BEEN REMOVED'. This acts as a reminder to remove your valuables when leaving the vehicle. Please email or telephone the team if you wish to have one or two.
