Dear residents,
CRIME FIGURES
I've recounted this three times just to make sure, but in the last 17 days we have had no residential burglaries (although we've had 3 commercial burglaries). By popular demand, other figures for this period are:
Robberies (commercial or personal): 0
Assaults: 3 (2 are domestic related, 1 on a Police Officer)
Domestic incidents where no offences alleged or suspected: 5
Public Order Offences: 3
Racially aggravated Public Order Offences: 1 (enquiries in hand to trace suspect)
Theft of motorvehicles: 0
Theft from motorvehicle: 1
Theft of pedal cycle: 3 (one was the front wheel)
Shoplifting: 6
Other theft: 5
Possession of Cannabis: 3 (2 of them involved the same person on the same day).
Arson: (hedge set alight)
Criminal Damage: 2
These figures show a healthy picture for Colliers Wood, particulary for those who reside or travel to the area, but if anyone does have concerns, then please call the team.
FLYTIPPING/LITTER
We're still working with Merton Borough Council to clear areas of flytipping as soon as we discover them. There is apparently worn vehicle tyres being dumped regularly throughout the Borough, which is a concern. If anyone does see this type of behaviour, then please call the team (preferably with the registration number).
ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
We have had a small number of incidents of egg throwing in and around Singleton Close, but other than that, the current problems seem to be under control.
As always, your Safer Neighbourhoods Team patrol on foot, pedal cycle and motorcycle. Please feel free to stop and speak to them concerning any issues.
