Colliers Wood Update

Dear residents,
Colliers Wood crime figures for the last two weeks are five burglaries (one residential and four non-residential), five thefts from motor vehicles (two thefts of motorcycles although both recovered), and two Robberies. The Anti Social Behaviour Issues in SW17 are still around and we are working with our partners to reduce the opportunity for this type of activity.
The Colliers Wood Ward Panel meeting was held last night and the priorities your Police Team will be concentrating on will be Anti Social Behaviour and Litter/flytipping. I'm hoping to get YOU involved in clearing litter from your own streets, with the Safer Neighbourhoods Team organising structured events with the Council to facilitate this. In the background we will be enforcing litter laws and ensuring that any flytipping is quickly cleared away.
A positive update concerning theft from motorvehicles; following a covert operation, Police arrested a person in SW19 for theft from motorvehicle. This person is now currently remanded in custody from Court having been charged with a number of linked offences.
There appears to be a growing interest in theft of motorcycles on the ward. Please make sure that these vehicles are secured to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of crime.
As always, your Safer Neighbourhoods Team patrol on foot, pedal cycle and motorcycle. Please feel free to stop and speak to them concerning any issues.
