Dear residents,
Colliers Wood has experienced a low level of crime in this last two weeks, with two burglaries reported, two thefts from motor vehicles (one being the removal of registration plates, and one theft of a pedal cycle (albeit worth £4000). Your Policing team are obviously not complacent with these results and will continue to try to improve these further.
With regard to burglaries, criminals will go for the easy option. If your property looks occupied and secure, then your home is likely to be passed by.
With regard to theft from motor vehicles, a significant proportion of these offences relate to theft of registration plates. If you have concerns over the security of your plates (replacements cost up to £40), consider using security screws which only allow the screw to be tightened.
With regard to the stolen pedal cycle, if you see this bike please contact the Police. The details are a Marin Wolfridge Quad Link mountain bike (picture attached).
