Residents this email is to inform you that all reported crime on Hillside Ward is showing a 26% decrease on the same period last year, with reported burglaries showing a 41% decrease on the same period. The comparison dates have been 1st April 2009-18th August 2009 and 1st April 2010 - 18th August 2010.Your team and all officers at Merton have worked tirelessly to reduce crime on the ward and we will continue to maintain the momentum in order to continue to make your ward safer.
During the course of our duties police regular recover property that we are unable to identify the owner. The Wimbledon Village Safer Neighbourhood Team's popular Annual Charity Tug of War will take place this year at the Wimbledon Common Stables Open Day on Sunday 12 September, by the Ranger's Office, Wimbledon Common, Windmill Road SW19 (off Parkside).The charity of choice for 2010 is 'Help for Heroes'.
Teams are currently registering to participate, so don't delay, take up the challenge, join in the fun, enter a team and help them raise money to aid the many wounded men and women serving in HM Forces.

In the coming months your team will continue to knock on every door on the ward and introduce ourselves as part of the ongoing Meet the Streets campaign.
