Crime Update Hillside Ward 18 Jun 16:42
This email is to say it is now 56 days since the last residential burglary on Hillside Ward, also to inform you that crime on the ward is very low . Reports of theft from the peron (pick-pocketing) have decreased significantly. This is extremely good news. Crime's of note in the last week on the ward include a theft from a motor vehicle on Wimbledon Hill Road, property was unfortunately left on display and stolen. Also a bank card was stolen from a cash point machine on St Georges Road SW19. It is believed a suspect has distracted the victim whilst at the cash point observed the pin number and taken the card. Fortunately the card was cancelled before any transactions were made. Please be careful whilst at the ATM and be aware of people loitering behind you whilst using the mashine. Please report any suspicious activity to the bank or Police via 999. This leads me on to say as you are no doubt awrae the Tennis starts on Monday 21st June this means that the Town Centre will be extremely busy. Please take care of your possessions whilst in the town centre. Your team will be patrolling the town centre in plain clothes and uniform to target the criminals who will no doubt attend Wimbledon.
