This email is to inform you that it has been 47 days since the last residential burglary on Hillside Ward. This is good news in as much that the increased presence on the ward provided by your Safer Neighbourshoods team has proved successful.However let's not be complacent and please remember to secure your home and property . If you wish to have a free home security please contact us , we will be happy to come round to your home and offer security advice. Other crimes of note that have occured on the ward recently have been a slight increase in the theft of pedal cycles from underground car parks and bike racks. Please ensure that all bikes are secured properly and you make note of the serial number . We as the police recover many bikes and unfortunately we are unable to identify the owner as victims do not record the frame/serial number in order that we can match the bike. If you would like your bike marked please join us outside Wimbledon BR Stn on the forecourt on Monday 14th June 2010 between 530pm and 7pm where we will gladly security mark your bike for free. Lastly if your road or block of flats would like to be a member of neighbourhood watch please contact us and we will arrange to set up a scheme in your location.
