Dear Members, Can I bring it to your attention that the ward has suffered two burglaries in the last few days. The first occurred on 23/08/2011 at 2115 hours in Pepys Road, SW20. Access was gained to the rear of the premises via an alleyway. A rear downstairs window of the premises was then forced open. The suspect/s were disturbed as the occupier came downstairs. The Suspects made off over garden fences to avoid being apprehended. Despite the efforts of a Police Dog Unit the suspect/s were not detained. The second occurred between 22nd and the 24th of August in Melbury Gardens, SW20. Access was gained via the rear of the premises by forcing open a downstairs window. Can I remind all residents to be extra vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the Police immediately. Please ensure all doors and windows are locked and secured before leaving your premises.
