CCTV Camera Kingsmead Avenue. We have recently had enquires regarding a CCTV camera that has appeared on a lamppost in Kingsmead Avenue, concerns have been raised relating to the height of the camera and the type (a 360 dome camera). Concerns are that if it is a camera that is able to view 360 views then it would be able to view images in local resident’s houses upstairs bedrooms. After conducting checks with local agencies including Merton Council we have been unable to find out who owns the camera, residents in Kingsmead Avenue have also been spoken to and we are still unable to find the owner. In consultation with Merton council it has been decided that the camera will be removed and held by the council until a person comes forward to claim ownership.
