Cricket Green Ward Update 23/12/2009 23 Dec 14:05
Cricket Green Ward Update 23/12/2009 WARD PANEL MEETING We held our ward panel meeting on December 1st. Our priorities were again agreed to be residential burglary and theft from motor vehicle which we will continue to tackle in the forthcoming months. WARD PRIORITY – BURGLARY On the 17th of December the team have conducted a crime prevention and awareness drive around Haslemere Avenue following an increase in burglary in the area. The team attended, spoke with residents and offered crime prevention advice and guidance. We also highlighted any security issues that we came across. We will continue to conduct this type of activity across the ward to disrupt burglars and identify vulnerable houses. Since this time there has been a reduction in number of offences in the area which in the run up to Christmas is a great result! We are happy to attend and assess your security for free if you wish. Please contact us for advice on the number at the end of this document to arrange an appointment. WARD PRIORITY – THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE The only thefts that we have recently experienced have been as a result of people leaving valuable items on show. Please remove valuable items whenever you leave you car, even if it is only for a couple of minutes. ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR - PHIPPS BRIDGE ESTATE We are currently working hard in partnership with the local authority to stem the recent outbreak of anti social behaviour in the area from local youths. We are gathering evidence on the offenders and will be assisting with issuing warning letters which could potentially lead on to Anti Social Behaviour Orders or other sanctions. If you are experiencing anti social behaviour please let us know so that we can help to tackle the problem. Any information can be treated as confidential if necessary.
