A severe weather warning has been issued by the Met Office. Heavy showers in many areas are expected to give localised rainfall accumulations of 15 to 25mm in 3 hours or less. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the 'Highways Agency' for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
