The Annual New Zealand Waitangi Day celebrations expected in vicinity of Parliament Sq and Victoria BR Stn – Expected attendance 3-7,000 from 1300hrs onwards. No anticipated disorder expected but high spirits from NZ expatriates. Generally compliant participants and crowd management required. An appropriate policing plan is in place.

Police are investigating a fatal stabbing. in Oxford Street, W1. Police were called at approx 1345hrs on Monday, 26 December to reports of a male stabbed in Oxford Street, nr the junction with Stratford Place, W1. Officers, LAS and HEMS attended the scene. The male, believed late teens/early 20s, has been pronounced dead at the scene. A number of arrests have been made. Enquiries continue. Await updates
