Police Appeal: Can you help? 20 Jul 11:05

 

Lambeth Borough Police are investigating a number of arsons after three fires were set within hours of each other on Tuesday 19 July. Police were alerted to the incidents by the London Fire Brigade (LFB).

 

LFB asked for police attendance to a vehicle fire at an address on Tulse Hill, SW2 at 01:00hrs. One vehicle was almost completely burned out also causing damage to a vehicle parked nearby.

 

Whilst attending this fire LFB were informed of another car fire on Claverdale Road, SW2 . A small fire had been started under a car parked in the street, but was immediately extinguished.

 

Shortly after at 0200hrs LFB requested that police attend another car fire at Churston Close, SW2. Here two vehicles had been set on fire.

 

 

DI Barry Smith of Lambeth Borough CID said, “I would urge anyone with information to come forward. The London Fire Brigade has advised us that the last fire in particular, if left unattended could have spread to the nearby houses.”
