Dear Resident / Business Owner,
Street Urination and Illegal Street Activity – Joint Enforcement Success
Crime and anti-social behaviour across Westminster is decreasing. However, you told us that anti-social behaviour such as illegal street trading and street urination is a cause of concern in your neighbourhood. Westminster City Council and the police have been working together to tackle this.
On Friday 7th and Saturday 8th May, the Mayfair and St James Safer Neighbourhood Team and Westminster City Council City Inspectors set up a joint operation to enforce against street urination with officers deployed around the Haymarket, St Albans and Eagle Place as well as northern parts of Soho. As a result of this joint operation,
31 individuals were reported for the offence of street urination.
61 people were stopped and spoken to by officers, and a further 7 were searched
11 Flower Sellers were dealt with and 4 have been reported for this offence
1 person was dealt with for a cannabis related offence
Your information helps us make sure problems are solved by the right people.
