Welcome to what is the first update from Merton Park SNT via ‘COMMUNITY SAFE’
If you do, please encourage friends, neighbours and colleagues to sign-up to this FREE scheme – if you do NOT, please let me know by any means you wish. Our activities over the last two weeks have focused on prevention of dis-order associated with Hallowe’en and Fireworks night. We were given support from Ravensbury SNT in ensuring the Merton Park Primary School’s firework night in Church Lane Playing Fields passed off without event or injury. We hope it was a financially successful evening for the school. Ps Harman attended the Remembrance Service at St Mary’s Church on Sunday 09th November, laying a wreath on behalf of Merton Borough Police. The team are also now starting a programme of presentations to beavers, cubs and scouts at 1st Merton pack, tackling issues such as road safety and ‘Stranger danger’
· Premises apparently unoccupied for long periods of time · Curtains closed day and night. · Plastic liners taped or adhered to the window itself · Bright lighting on, possibly day and night · People attending for only a few minutes each day before leaving the venue · The use or storage of large quantities of compost or plant pots. Please bear in mind that not ALL of these may be featured - any or some of them MAY be an indication. If you have any doubts AT ALL please do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail or the ward phone ( 020 8721 2451 ) . If you would prefer to remain anonymous, then CRIMESTOPPERS is available free of charge 24 hours a day on 0800 555 111 Thank you for taking the time and trouble to read this update. If you have any comments, positive or negative, then please let Merton Park SNT know by e-mailing them at Mertonpark.SNT@met.police.uk |
